Autumn Barszczowski graduated from Point Park University in 2019 with a B.A. in Public Relations and Advertising with a minor in psychology. She is currently working full-time as a Payroll Technician in the City of Pittsburgh’s Department of Public Works and part-time as a Student Center Coordinator at Point Park University.

As a student at Point Park, she was the president of the Honors Student Organization (HSO), the Business Manager for the Point Park Globe, president of PRSSA, student representative for the Northeast Regional Honors Conference and treasurer for the Society of Professional Journalists. She also wrote news stories, features, and opinions pieces for The Point Park Globe as well as Point Park’s chapter of Her Campus.

During her time at Point Park, she completed multiple internships.

Her last internship from May 2018 to May 2019 was at The PT Services Group where she worked as a marketing and sales intern and completed various marketing projects including LinkedIn Prospecting, email campaigns and other various types of research. She was at that internship from May 2018 to May 2019.

From January 2018 to May 2018, she was the fact-checking and research intern for PublicSource where she worked on fact-checking stories written by reporters, researching topics related to stories and conducting interviews for the PublicStreets social media project.

From May 2017 to December 2017, she was a marketing and communications intern at the Tepper School of Business at Carnegie Mellon University. She worked on a variety of tasks from media relations, PR writing, social media and conducting a website audit.

From January 2017 to May 2017 she was a sales intern at Nakturnal, which is an online marketing company that specializes in SEO for clients. She completed a number of tasks in the sales process from blogger research to contacting clients in cold emails.

She was in the Class of 2015 at City Charter High School in Downtown Pittsburgh, graduating as an honors student and with a 4.0 GPA.

At City High, she was the Stage Manager for the musical theater as well as a playwright for their student written plays. Autumn was on the marketing side of the robotics team, Short Circuits, at City High and helped to complete the Chairman’s Award two years in a row.

While at City High, she completed an internship over the summer at YouthWorks Inc., a program of Goodwill, helping youth with career preparation.
